- Regulates the process of opening and closing of pores in leaves. A deficiency of this element can lead to problems with heat dissipation, which increases the susceptibility of plants to diseases and heat stress.
- Potassium deficiency can also affect the transport of water and nutrients from the root to the leaves, stems, and fruits.
