Trening roślin: Topping i FIM (fimming) jak wykonać?

Topping and Fimming - that is, controlling plant growth by pruning.

Pruning is the deliberate removal of young twiggy shoots or tips in order to achieve plant branching. By pruning a plant in the right place of the tip we will get two others in its place. If we trim two we will get four new shoots.

Both topping and fimming involve removing the tops of the cannabis plant. Doing so disrupts the natural growth of the plant, causing it to develop more side branches and spread outward rather than upward.

The only difference between the two methods is that fimming involves removing the entire tip of the plant. In contrast, fimming removes only about 75 percent of the tip, leaving some foliage. In both scenarios, tip pruning causes the plant to redistribute growth hormones. Instead of directing all of its energy to producing one main shoot, it now divides its resources among all of its shoots.

Without Topping and fimping, cannabis plants usually grow in the shape of a Christmas tree, with one dominant bud in the middle and several smaller side branches. This means they take up a lot of vertical space and produce only one decent clump of buds at harvest time. However, most growers would prefer shorter plants with multiple tops - and that's exactly what you get with topping and fimming.

The huge advantage of FIM is that using this method we have the chance to get four or even six new branches, as opposed to two with classic pruning.
