DutchPro CalMag - Calcium (Ca) & Magnesium (Mg)

DutchPro CalMag is a supplemental additive designed to correct magnesium and calcium deficiencies. Fast-growing plants can quickly deplete available nutrients, and growth may suffer if these elements are no longer available. That’s where Calmag comes in! Its concentrated formula corrects nutrient deficiencies and helps get the plant back on track. Dutchpro has also added a small amount of nitrogen to the blend to stimulate plant growth. As one of the three major macronutrients, plants use it in large quantities to produce enzymes, amino acids, and chlorophyll molecules.

Additional Information

Magnesium is also an important component of the chlorophyll molecule. Without magnesium, a plant cannot convert light and CO2 into sugar. It also helps activate enzymes, ensuring that plant processes operate at maximum efficiency. A magnesium deficiency can seriously impair a plant’s ability to grow, so plants should always have an adequate supply.

Calcium is an important component of plant cell structure; it strengthens cell walls and provides rigidity to the plant. It is also found in many plant enzymes and aids in nutrient transport. Calcium is difficult for the plant to transport, and once it reaches its destination, it remains there. For this reason, you’ll often notice a lack of new leaves, as the older ones contain calcium.
