Plants derive necessary nutrients from the air, light, and also from the nutrients contained in the soil. The roots and leaves of the plant play a key role in their assimilation. It is essential for plants to receive nutrients in the right proportions and amounts, which prevents deficiencies and poisonings, and also stimulates their development and improves condition.

During the flowering phase, the plant prepares for pollination. Photoreceptor proteins inside it signal the flowering time, and the plant begins to produce flowers, enabling the fertilization of the female part of the plant by pollen. This process requires a lot of energy, hence an appropriate balance of nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus is essential to stimulate the plant in this phase.
