Advanced Nutrients Products
Before presenting the Advanced Nutrients feeding chart, due to the wide range of Advanced Nutrients products, we would like to make the choice a little easier and share our experience regarding product selection and dosage.
For beginners (first grow):
- Grow, Micro, Bloom; Bloombastic by Atami or Blossom Builder by Atami.
Use 50% lower dosage for Advanced Nutrients products and the full recommended dosage for Atami products.
- Grow, Micro and Bloom are, according to hundreds of our customers, one of the best base nutrient systems available on the market. They provide proper nutrition during both vegetative growth and flowering.
- Atami Bloombastic is an excellent all-in-one flowering booster. It can increase flower quantity, quality and weight while also improving aroma and flavour.
This simple combination can provide a very good yield while keeping the risk of overfertilisation relatively low and helping prevent nutrient deficiencies.
For intermediate growers (second to fourth grow):
- Grow, Micro, Bloom, SensiZym, Bud Candy, B-52 and Bloombastic by Atami.
- SensiZym contains enzymes that support proper root-zone processes. It is worth using and is relatively difficult to overdose.
- Bud Candy supports flower development and aroma and, when followed by proper flushing, may also contribute to improved flavour.
- B-52 contains B vitamins as well as humic acid and seaweed extracts. It supports overall plant development and yield. It can significantly increase nutrient concentration, so growers without reverse osmosis water may prefer to use around half the recommended dose, approximately 1 ml per 1 L of water. In our experience, it works particularly well together with SensiZym.
- Bloombastic vs Overdrive – both can be used as flowering boosters and finishers. In our experience, however, Bloombastic often performs better.
For advanced growers (experienced growers who can easily recognise plant requirements)
- Grow, Micro, Bloom, SensiZym, Voodoo Juice or Tarantula, Piranha, Bud Candy, B-52, Big Bud, Bud Candy or Bud Factor X, Rhino Skin, Bloombastic, Shooting Powder, Flawless Finish, Carbo Load.
- Voodoo Juice and Tarantula contain beneficial bacteria that work together with the root system. Together with Piranha, they can be particularly useful in AutoPot systems and in hydroponic systems with limited aeration or circulation. They support root development and help maintain a healthy root zone under difficult conditions such as excessive moisture. Voodoo Juice and Tarantula can be used interchangeably because their bacterial profiles are similar. Although the manufacturer recommends using both, in our experience this is not always necessary.
- Piranha contains high-quality mycorrhizal fungi. Like beneficial bacteria, they support proper root development and can help protect the root zone against undesirable fungi. Voodoo Juice, Tarantula and Piranha are difficult to overdose when used correctly and can generally be used at the recommended dosage.
- Carbo Load – provides carbohydrates for the root-zone microorganisms, particularly the beneficial bacteria and fungi introduced through products such as Piranha, Tarantula and Voodoo Juice.
- Rhino Skin – is primarily based on silicon compounds. Silicon supports plant resistance to mechanical damage and helps strengthen stems so they can carry heavier flowers.
- Bud Factor X – has some similarities to Bud Candy, although the products differ significantly in price. One of the claimed differences is the presence or higher concentration of certain plant-derived compounds. In practice, many growers do not notice a major difference. We do not recommend using both at the same time. Standard dosages can generally be used.
- Shooting Powder is a flowering finisher from House & Garden. It is usually used during the final feeding before flushing. On healthy plants it may stimulate a final burst of flower development, sometimes described as a second flowering phase. New pistils may appear and flowers may continue increasing in mass. Shooting Powder can negatively affect flavour if residues remain in the growing medium, which is why proper flushing is particularly important.
- Big Bud – contains amino acids and other ingredients designed to support flower formation. It can be quite concentrated, so when using it for the first time we recommend starting at approximately half the standard dosage.
- Flawless Finish – contains chelating compounds designed to help remove residual nutrient salts from the growing medium. We recommend using it at the beginning of the flushing period and then following with two water-only irrigations.
Other products such as:
Nirvana and Bud Ignitor – in our experience and according to feedback from many of our customers, these products do not always provide noticeable results and can significantly increase nutrient concentration. As a result, inexperienced growers may sometimes create more problems than benefits by adding too many supplements at once.
